Do you have white stretch marks? Do you want to know how to get rid of white stretch marks?
White stretch marks are unsightly marks that are found on the thighs, abdomen and upper arms. These are marks that could be due to a recent weight loss, trauma or pregnancy.
Stretch marks can affect your confidence if you wear revealing outfits and so you should do all you can to remove them.
One way to remove stretch marks is to use tried and tested methods such as retinoid creams. Retinoid creams are available in an over-the-counter form with varying strengths and brands.
Retinoid is very effective because it boosts cell regeneration and as new cells are created, old and scarred ones vanish in time.
Usually, you will find your stretch marks become lighter and may even gradually disappear over a period of two weeks.
Use products such as moisturizers that are enriched with vitamin C. Apply vitamin C treatments over the stretch marks using your fingertips in small circular strokes.
Vitamin C is ideal for stretch marks that are newly formed. It triggers more collagen production and makes stretch marks fade over time.
You can also take vitamin C supplements. Take 500 mg tablets three times a day. Also, eat more foods that are rich in vitamin C such as fruits and vegetables.
Another technique to get rid of white stretch marks is to exfoliate the area. There are many products that can help you exfoliate stretch marks such as a loofah, a pumice stone, a scrubber, or wand. Just rub them rigorously on your areas when you take a bath.
You can also prepare homemade exfoliating scrubs using sugar, baking soda, or oatmeal.
Simply apply your homemade scrub on the affected area. Rigorously rub it around on the stretch marked area. Eventually, you can improve the appearance of the stretch marks and over time remove them for good.
An alternative treatment, such as using aloe vera, is one way to remove white stretch marks.
Aloe has natural properties that can soothe skin, moisturize and remove blemishes.
Applying fresh aloe vera gel or paste over the mark on a regular basis will help.
White stretch marks can also be removed with surgery and laser treatments. These treatments can be costly but a lot of people recommend these for fast and effective stretch marks removal. These types of treatments are done in a doctor’s office.
